ScanConsole provides a simple way to capture images and batches from a remote scanner. The application is designed to be the most straightforward way for users to:

• capture images and batches from a remote scanner over a network or using the Internet
• make changes to individual pages, such as cropping, rotating, deskewing, despeckling, and removing black borders
• OCR the image and set areas of the captured page to be recognized
• add index field data based on a predefined document type
• release index field data to a comma separated file and scanned pages to PDF or TIFF images

The application comes in a number of formats, each of which is extensible and can be easily customized to your specifications:

• ScanConsole for Windows is an installable, client-based application that provides full image control capabilities out of the box, and can be further modified for your particular environment.
• ScanConsole Online provides similar functionality as the ScanConsole Windows application, except it can be accessed anywhere the user has an Internet connection.
• ScanConsole for Intranets provides ScanConsole functionality from within a secure internal network, and is equally as exensible as the Windows and Online versions.
